How to Get MHRT/C Certified

Want an MHRT/C certificate, but don't know how or where to start? There are several options for certification. Follow the link below to understand the steps to obtain the MHRT/C.

In our June 17, 2024 newsletter, we highlight the four ways one can qualify for Provisional MHRT/C (Pathway C).


This one-hour online course is required for MHRT/C certification for Pathways B & C. It provides an introduction to Maine’s behavioral health system and history, as well as the values, qualities, and expectations. Be sure to save your certificate to submit with your application. On the training website, it is on the left side.

The US Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) regularly offers continuing education trainings on a variety of topics.
