Welcome to Your MHRT/C Pathway Finder
Thank you for your interest in the Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician/Community (MHRT/C) certification program. People who work in the MHRT/C role provide services to adults with serious mental illness. These services include:
- Community Integration
- Behavioral Health Home (BHH)
- Mental Health Psychosocial Clubhouse
- Assertive Community Treatment
- Skills Development
- Day Support Services
- Family Psycho-Education
(as outlined in Chapter II, sections 17, 65, and 92 of the MaineCare Benefits manual)
You can qualify for MHRT/C certification through a variety of ways, such as:
- Academic Coursework
- Non-Academic Coursework (i.e., relevant trainings or workshops)
- Credit for Work Experience
There are two levels of certification: Provisional MHRT/C and Full MHRT/C certification, and there are several pathways to earn MHRT/C certification based on an individual’s academic preparation and experience.
