This is for initial certification for new trainers to teach the curriculum.

There will be a limit of 25 attendees. We are unable to save a space or spaces for your agency. Applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis among those who qualify.
All applications must be submitted through our Web Portal. Click on “MHRT Application Form,” and check the “MHSS Train the Trainer” box. Please include the registration form found in the flyer above.
Once you submit through the web portal, please email cfl@maine.edu to let us know. Our notification system is currently down.
Please do not email or fax applications. Regular email and faxing are not secure methods for transmitting transcripts.
Our most asked question: Do I need to complete MHSS as a student prior to taking the train-the-trainer?
YES. Applicants need to be familiar with the curriculum. The Train-the-Trainer covers how to teach the curriculum under the assumption that applicants are familiar with the curriculum. Regardless of your educational background, you need to have taken the course as a student first. We maintain a schedule of upcoming courses should you need to take it.
